Major Fleet Business Developement Manager - Contract Hire

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Major Corporate Fleets new business team for a leading Contract Hire business.

This role focuses on partnership opportunities within the very large corporates and White-Label Outsourcing arena. There are a limited number of huge fleet clients, so the successful candidate will need to have the intellectual capacity to identify the most important customer needs, understand the outcomes and create a strategy to demonstrate that is the most suitable partner to work with. The role also requires the ability to help create conceptual solutions and products to match customers’ requirements and support the team.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a high degree of commercial awareness and skill gained from extensive experience within this market place enabling the delivery of effective, profit maximising proposals. Excellent communication skills including verbal, presentation and written are a pre-requisite

In addition, the incumbent will need to have the necessary influence and determination to drive action from across the whole of the company and the wider group to deliver positive results.


Key accountabilities

• To research and network to identify the best opportunities to grow the company’s fleet or income through the large fleet proposition.
• Engage with potential customers, partners, JV’s or suppliers at board level to develop trusted advisor status
• To provide support and share best practice with colleagues.
• To ensure that all contact between the company and the customer is of the highest professional standard including final sign off of all proposals and tender submissions where the BDM is the lead
• To develop innovative solutions to differentiate in the customer’s view
• Develop the relationship with colleagues to leverage our position in potential customers
Develop sales strategy to maximise opportunities identified
• Ensure commercial accountability throughout the bid/no bid process to ensure only commercially acceptable opportunities are pursued
• Bid management through formulation of compelling tender/bid documentation and presentation decks
• Identification of partner suppliers in key specialist areas to complement/enhance the service offering
• Problem solving and creating conceptual solutions
